Muthandwa Chinamhora Sincuba – Head Teacher
Mr Sincuba graduated with a Diploma in Education in 1995. He furthered his studies in education with an Advanced Certificate in Education (2012) and BEd Honors (Mathematics) in 2016. He is currently completing his final year of Masters in Education (Physical Sciences) with Walter Sisulu University. He is passionate about research in the field of educational sciences (a scarce skill in South Africa), with a research focus is on blended learning in Mathematics and Physical Sciences. Mr Sincuba is also experienced as a leader, having fulfilled the role of principal as other schools.In 2009, he was presented with the National Teachers’ Award for Excellence in Secondary School leadership.
Mr Sincuba believes that academic supervision does not only mean overseeing the successful completion of the learner curriculum, but more importantly it must foster the development of a balanced and independent learner who is able to think creatively and take education forward.
Peacemaker Homodza – Mathematics and Agricultural Sciences
Mr Homodza has obtained his BSc Honours in Biological Sciences, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. He specialises in Mathematics, Life Sciences and Agricultural Sciences.
Nomakawutha Moshani – English and Business Studies
Miss Moshani holds an Honours degree in Psychology from UCT and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from UWC. She is also currently an MPhil fellow: studying towards a Master of Philosophy in Public Mental Health with UCT. Her current research focus is on “Exploring the experiences and perceptions of young Xhosa men with transition from adolescence to manhood in the absence of father presence or involvement in Cape Town.”
Miss Moshani has a special interest in the field of psychology, tourism and education. Over the years she has worked in the disability, tourism and education sector – supporting individuals in their quest for knowledge, personal development and adventure. Her personal vision and goal is to “touch lives through knowledge and adventure”. Her values are education, freedom, health and abundance.
Lulama Mata – IsiXhosa, Business Studies and Life Orientation
Born in Lusiskisiki (E Cape) and bred in Margate (KZN), Miss Mata received her Bachelor of Education Degree from Walter Sisulu University, specializing in Accounting and Business Studies.
She is a young, vibrant, talkative, hardworking, and eager to learn person. Miss Mata has a passion for Book club (reading books and engaging learners in reading books that are not part of the curriculum), Athletics and Dance. She is interested in furthering her Studies, and getting involved in health awareness programs and healthy living lifestyle.
Ntombizonke Shiliga – Assistant teacher Life Orientation, Agricultural Sciences, Life Sciences
Miss Shiliga grew up not far from Bulungula College in a rural area of the Eastern Cape near Elliotdale. She holds a B. Agricultural Extension and Production (Honours) from the University of Fort Hare. While there, she was awarded a trophy for Best Student Achiever. She is currently studying towards her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Walter Sisulu University.
Miss Shiliga is interested in motivating young people about their studies, on how to choose a career and how to take care of their lives. Also, as she is working with young people, she is interested in choreography.
Betty Ndukumbini – School Administrator
Miss Ndukumbini has been the Bulungula College’s Admin Manager since 2018. She has a qualification in Early Childhood Development Education. She is responsible for all the administrative needs of the BC.
Nosipho Xwita – Bulungula College Cook
Miss Xwita keeps our learners well-nourished with healthy delicious food – often which they have helped grown themselves out of the BC garden.
